Thanks to friend, and fellow local / social marketing enthusiast, Sebastien Provencher for pointing me to this video. There is a thoughtful post on his site by Annie Bacon, a freelance video game designer on the implications of print married with technology in the minds of parents.
I spent 10 years in the video game business selling, marketing, and creating games from Nintendo to CD Rom to Internet, and I have a real appreciation for the desire to make educational interactive products that actually sell.
I really don’t think this has an application outside of children’s entertainment. For example, I can’t see cutting a hole in a Yellow Pages directory for an iPhone to be inserted.
But I’ve been wrong before.
